Our Services

At Poppies Mobile Vet, we aim to provide a variety of services to support your pets from within the comfort of your own home. We are stocked with as many tools and medications as we can stack in the car and take on the road to meet the needs of our clients, however, there are still some limitations as to the services we can provide. Our services are provided for cats and dogs only.

Our Services Include:

Vaccination

We carry the commonly used core and non-core vaccinations for both dogs and cats. We are able to vaccinate adults as well as puppies/kittens and can facilitate litter or group vaccinations.

Microchipping

We have a microchip scanner and Dr Brittany is an authorised microchip implanter. We can microchip any new pets or perform microchipping alongside vaccinations for litters.

Prevention

We stock a range of preventative medicines for both cats and dogs, including oral chews and tablets, topical options and ProHeart annual Heartworm injection. Feel free to discuss your prevention protocol with Dr Brittany to ensure your pet is up to date with all the necessary preventions.

Health Checks

We can provide general health checks and consultations. This includes Fit-to-Fly certifications, breeding suitability assessments and rechecks for ongoing treatment plans. We can also discuss and construct ongoing health plans for your pet to maintain general health or manage an ongoing condition.

Skin Consultations

Skin problems are a common ailment for pets and can have a variety of causes. We are able to provide consultation for pets with skin conditions and stock a range of treatment options for ongoing management. We will also be able to provide ongoing Cytopoint allergy injections.

Ear Consultations

It’s not only irritating for you, but also for your dog when they are shaking their head or scratching at their ears constantly. We have the tools to examine the ears within your home and a portable microscope allows on sight diagnosis, allowing you to start treatment immediately.

Behaviour
Consultations

Behaviour is a special interest of Dr Brittany’s. As such, we are happy to provide consultation for any behavioural concerns you may have, from pulling on the leash to anxiety and aggression. We will be able to provide medical treatment for behavioural concerns where required.

Telemedicine

For ongoing cases and patients that have been seen before, we are happy to offer Telemedicine video consultations to discuss the ongoing care of your pet. Dr Brittany is also happy to chat via the Digitail App at any time for general advice and assistance with questions.

Pain Management

Pain is a common ailment in our pets, especially those with ongoing health conditions or arthritis. We are able to provide initial consultation for these cases and ongoing management and medication. For pets with arthritis, we are able to provide in the home arthritis injections.

Senior Consultations

As our pets age, they can start to suffer from ongoing health concerns. We can assess your pets based on any changes you may have noticed as they age. We are then able to assist with any conditions that may be discovered, discuss treatment plans and provide ongoing medications as required.

Palliative Care

We understand that it can be difficulty when our pets start to struggle with ongoing health concerns. We are happy to offer an assessment of your pet, assist in managing ongoing conditions, and discuss their quality of life to assist you in keeping them comfortable before making the decision on when it is time for them to go.

Euthanasia

We can assist your pet in passing peacefully within the comfort of your own home. This is done in a manner that you can be by your pet’s side throughout the process and they can stay where they are most comfortable. We also offer as part of this service, a Paw Print keepsake.
